I made this Queen Anne side chair at Gene Landon's class at Olde Mill (2002).
Primary materials: Walnut
Secondary materials: White pine rail shell backer & seat frame, Upholstery: Leather
Finish: Boiled linseed oil, walnut husk stain, and orange shellac. Glazed with burnt umber and oil, then waxed.
I wasn't happy with the lines of the original shell I started to carve, so I filed them off and started over.
